Only 4 servers had anyone in, the busiest had 12 players, so thats just 1 playable server. What a shame it's a great game, however I guess they were taking a risk when they excluded XP & DX9 users.

Yeah I got that deal and I'm well chuffed, never played GTA4 properly before as didn't have a decent system when it originally came out, to have it and the expansions for 6 quid is awesome.
 
I don't want to start a new thread for this so I'll put it in here... what sort of speeds are people getting?

I'm getting like 1-30 KB/s which is utterly ridiculous. Fired up a rapidshare download and it shot straight to 5.9MB/s.

It's taking over 2 hours to download a game which should take 5 minutes :mad:

I was getting similar speeds until I changed download region, now on about 600KB/s using the Ukraine server

Just changed region and now I'm getting 600KB/s too, which is much better, but still absolutely ****. They really should invest in more bandwidth.


Rapidshare can keep on top of demand, so why cant steam?

lol wen itz easier to get a hold of a pirate version than it is to get a legit direct2 drive option u kno something is wrong

That's a funny joke!

Well, it's a joke if you don't have a paid account anyhow. Rapidshare free has been unusable for years. If you try to download anything at all from it, there are a list of excuses as long as your arm why it won't let you.

I've been getting absolutely fine DL speed from Belgium, but you'll see the speed of all servers increase daily over the next week.

Unfortunately, my version is on Steam, not the boxed version.

Annoying that they can't just offer the expansions on the sale.
 
It's because everyone is installing games that many are not going to play for months. Does anybody elses Darksiders keep crashing its either a memory leak or my screwed up mb I think.
 
Easy: I liked the demo but have too many games at the minute so no purchase this sale. Its basically going to scare the hell out of you, even the most hardened horror fan.

There's a demo for Amnesia on the store page, I'd recommend trying it.

I played as recommend in the dark, 2am with headphones and I was far too terrified to pick it up after that unfortunately :(

I suppose that means the makers have done an excellent job though :p
