Metro 2033 3D Blurring

When running Metro 2033 in 3D on Very High, a lot of the game is blurred (which flickers a little). When I switch the settings down to "high" this is gone. Does anyone else have this? Possibly a problem with motion blur? Maybe the drivers (I'm using 263.09)?

I dunno how many people have the quad 580 in SLI (or something) you'd need to play Metro 2033 max in 3D and run into that problem.

Havn't heard of the problem beore though, sorry D:

If your using 3D Vision the advisory that comes up when you start the game does explicitly state that you need Advanced DOF Off with this game.

EDIT: I'm using newer drivers than the latest available tho so not sure if the warning comes up on older drivers.

It's not DOF, I have the same issue when set to "very high" in 3D Vision, the majority of the image is blurred, I also found changing to "high" fixed it. I also found using the nvidia laser crosshair brought the frame rate down noticeably, I'm not using a crosshair at all now which I actually prefer now I've acclimatised to it. No doubt Metro2033 looks awesome in 3D.

Sorry for highjack but i just ordered 3d vision kit and i need to order a gfx card will the 580 run metro ok in 3d and what res are you guys using ?

From your description I am not sure what exactly is supposed to be blurred (Only when you move ? Or in static scenes as well ? Is it only in 3D ?)

Could it be related to the fact that on
"High" the game says - motion blur: camera",
"Very High" it says - "motion blur: camera and objects(DX10+)"
?

At a resolution of 1920x1080 a GTX570 probably only gives 25-30fps.

If you halve this for 3D you're down to 15fps or less.

Could this be the problem?

Options: Resolution: 2560 x 1440; DirectX: DirectX 11; Quality: Very High; Antialiasing: AAA; Texture filtering: AF 16X; Advanced PhysX: Enabled; Tesselation: Enabled; DOF: Disabled

Average Framerate: 28.22

GTX 570 @ 900 hz

Planning on SLIing up later this year.

It might be 28.22fps but this is effectively 14fps in 3D.

The game is set to 1920x1080 and the FPS are fine. As long as I don't have it on 4xAA in the settings, then the gameplay is smooth. The blur is present when I am static, but is also stays when I move. So, the blurring is fixed and definitely not related to movement. I've done a bit of searching, and somebody mentioned this problem on another forum and said it was due to the version of the drivers - the previous ones didn't have this problem. Hopefully the issue will be fixed when the next set of drivers get released. Thank you all for the input. For now, I will just play this game set to High :(
Oh, and I'd like to test this on the different versions of DirectX to see if the problem persists, but I won't be back at my home until tomorrow.
