however going back to games looking better on PC or PS3 etc, lets take for example GTA4... you'd need a monster PC to run that smoothly versus a sub £300 console!...similary for the COD series where all the onscreen action would tend to slow down even a modest PC but plays fluidly on the PS3...
I guess my PC in itself is past due an upgrade (Opty 170 at 2.2ghz and a Radeon 4850)...I'm only looking to replace the CPU/mobo/ram and was holding out for a Sandybridge or not sure whether to get the Ph II X4 (going to use it for vid editing as well)...
with a current get processor will the Rad4850 be ok for Mass Effect 2, Civ 5, etc?

dragon age, and mass effect series. played them on console and on pc, and they play far better on pc. and not too intensive either.
