Does your mum annoy you? I obviously love my mum but when I go home I seem to get bombarded with question after question. She calls me what seems to be everyday to ask or tell me things that are pointless.

I have just got off the phone to her and she told me to ring a family member to thank him for a xmas present I didnt know about. She then said he has had his phone stolen so I cant get in contact with him anyway. What was the point in telling me this in the first place?

I used to think it was just mine but my housemates mums are the same. Its like question time when they come around, so much so we all pretend to be in bed when each others parents come around! Dads dont do this though

For more experienced people on here - Is this just women in general or mums in general?

well mine complains about everything.. screams.. shouts.. ye annoying but im still living with them so i can't do much eh..

It’s what all mums do. They just love and care for you. Don’t knock it as you’ll miss it terribly when they’re gone.

I didnt get on that well with my mum when I was younger and I still dont agree with some of the decisions she made but maturing helps you understand that parents generally do things with your best interest in mind. You may not realise it now or ever but parents don't try to get on your ****.

They like to know that you are ok and doing well. Look at the number of people whos parents couldnt give a **** an think yourself lucky. Most families revolve their lives around you for 18-25 years and to suddenly have them bugger off to uni or whatever takes a little getting used to.

Your mother is the best friend you will ever have.

My thoughts exactly.

And remember - if it weren't for her - you would cease to exist now - and she spent all those months carrying you - and all those years basically teaching you how to eat, live and grow - & spent more time making you the man you are today than anyone else.

So at least pay her a little attention. ;) When she's gone - you will wonder why you never spent more time with her....
