I currently have a h50. Just wondering are there any cpu air coolers out there that can beat it? (not the h70 ofc)

EDIT: for the i7

+1.

Any top end air cooler will beat the H50, but on the down side, they are a lit noisier.

Try the Prolimatech Megahalems or the Titan Fenrir Evo.

.

My NH-D14s are quieter than my H50 and consistently outperforms it by a few degrees, originally bought the H50 to cool a 4Ghz 920, was touching 89C under IBT @ 1.33v, Noctua knocked that down to 78C tops.

My TRUE Rev C, NH-D14 and Megahalems all outperform readymade water and are quieter under load with the right fans..

same here! My h50 was boyght to cool a am3 overclock and since ive upgraded to a i7 ive seen how poorly it cools compared to others. I think i may upgrade ;) thanks for all your help and tips.

Quite a few. Thermalright Silver Arrow, Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright Ultra Extreme/VX, Thermaltake Frio. Link in sig for some performance results.

The H50 is not that impressive even with two fans but it is very practical in some situations where space is limited.

And 4 of those mentioned are cheaper too.

I would only ever go for the H50/70 if memory heatsink size was an issue, otherwise top end air is far better.

But with any overclocking though, no matter what cooler its still all vcore dependent.
