It's been a few years since i been to Brighton so i am a little out of touch of what's hip in the area. I know it moves on fast from my time down there.

I'm going there this month for a couple of days with someone, currently looking to stay at Sea Spray, looks decent since it comes with breakfast for the same price at one of the chain hotels (was going to be Jury's Inn). But if someone got any suggestions I'd love to know :) would love to stay at Hotel Una but that's Full and more than i can afford!

Also, where can i find out things to do? It will be a Wednesday/Thursday night say so midweek therefore I don't hope for something big in terms of event, plus it'll be cold so the pier will be a short hit and run affair.

Lastly, any recommendation for places to eat would be great. :)

P.s. Any nice bars too would be awesome! All I remember are the uni pubs and bars and it's not what I'm looking for right now :)

Stayed at the Royal Albion for a gig with the girlfriend a few months ago, ~£80 for two nights in a double room, buffet breakfast included.

Room was clean and tidy, had a view of the pier too which was a bonus. ITs nothing too fancy but its good if your on a budget.

Location wise its right opposite the pier so its easy enough to get around.

As for restuarant recommendations, were on a tight budget so didn't venture too far from the hotel/Harvester next door!

Have a gander at Laterooms if you haven't already for some deals.

Places to eat: Wai kika moo kau (kensington gardens) for lunch, Food for Friends or Jamies Italian for dinner (both in the laines towards the seafront). If you're staying at Sea Spray theres a nice bar tucked away just off the Old Steine/St James Street called 1+3.
