as title really, just getting into some dirty dub and like listening to peoples/DJ's interpretations of mainstream and what they have done to make it more funky and dark.

Love listening to radio1's minimixes and mash ups so looking for more of the same and some suggestions as to where to get it from please.

Cheers

Not sure it's entirely what you're after, but you can try...

Mash up your bootz which is your more simple A vs B stuff.
Girl Talk - easily my favourite mash up artist, who produces hour long single track mixes of about 400 samples. All Day and Night Ripper are both great albums and Feed The Animals is utterly astounding in my opinion.
E-603 - similar to Girl Talk, and also very good.
DJ BC's two "The Beastles" albums which are amazing mash ups of the Beatles and the Beasties Boys, but you'll have to torrent this as it's been DMCA'd into the ground

There's others out there... Someone has done Jaydiohead, which is Jay Z and Radiohead, which is OK. There's Doublecheck Your Head which is more Beastie Boys stuff, but I've not really listened to it.

Here are some DJ Cheapshot mashups.

Club Footed
Part Mouse
Jazzercidal Tendencies

This might interest you as well it's a mix he did for New Years.

He does like to put a lot of old songs in his mashups, the top 3 are like a year or 2 old though. But they are still very good.

This may also interest you it's a DJ Task mix he did for Solid Steel. Clicky

Girl Talk is my hero. I can listen to Feed the Animals all day

STOP! Try International Departures (Myon and Shane54) first - if you like progressive trance/dance then this is the way to go. Weekly podcast - the last episode (57) was immense - mashup of 102 tracks in just over 1 hour.

Also A State of Trance - Armin van Buuren does a weekly podcast.

Gareth Emery's podcast is also worth a try.

Not dub but still great all the same - some fantastic stuff in the International Departures 57 (Nirvana Teen Spirit mashed up with Coldplay Viva La Vida is a must listen!)

Girl Talk was an AWESOME shout by vonhelmet. I just got Feed the Animals and am loving it! Might have to get the rest now. :D :D

Probably best avoiding his first two in my opinion... They're more glitch pop than mashup, and it's quite a heavy listen compared to the more flowing work in Feed The Animals and his subsequent two.
