If China or Russia become militarily stronger than the west

That's partly why I asked the question. I completely understand that Islam is a religion and China is a nation. Is China facing the same threat as we are, bearing in mind they are a far stricter regime to live under?

its a made up problem by the media and racists . if it was a real problem then our government would not allow such people into or near the country

Well if you meant to say Extremism, say extremism not Islam china is suffering with extremism form many different groups not one I don't believe any extremist group that is against china has the power to topple it.

Then again people could consider china & England to be extremists we both have engaged in severe form of conflicts.

I mean look at what we have done to Iraq, and chinas crack down on many things we consider here to be normal that is the problem with the definition "extremism" hard to define.

Well for quite some time I believe. Around 1997 was probably the first time I experienced it.

From a personal perspective I can attest to almost ending up in fights on several occasions with some of my wifes brothers (multiple) because I wasn't a muslim. It has come toe to toe and face to face on several occasions, over nothing more than me not being a muslim.

Before anyone starts critisicing me I'd like to point out the following:

1) I am agnostic.
2) My wife is a non practicing muslim (Pakistani decent, Ugandan passport)
3) Our children are mixed race, obviously.
4) I bring my children up to respect religion (Christianity and Islam) as well as atheism or agnosticism, or whatever they choose.
5) I defended my right to be with my (muslim) Pakistani wife to the point that I didn't speak to my father for several years (we only talked again because he was dying of cancer).
6) I get on with half of my wifes family... to the point where I have helped them out in many legal matters.

I believe I am qualified to comment.

I am sorry to hear that, like I said before Extremis has many definition I am just saying be careful how you say/write things, Islam has many branches and covers many country's the problem these days with the media making it worse people tent to categorise it as whole. Just because some is form Muslim background and does something bad does not mean that Islam is the problem

I agree with that. Islam is a beauiful religion and for many people it is a peaceful religion. I take a slight issue with "be careful how you say/write things", as my fundimental belief is that you should have freedom of speech, and I will defend that right.

Aaaaaaanyway... I don't want to get this thread too far off topic and I belivee I have done that. So let's get back to the original point about Russia/West...

:D don't think they will be war between them to powerful nations with to many nukes have to stupid to attack each other I believe west will attack another middle Eastern Country's to secure the energy they need. And get closer to the new middle east creation, also Africa looking like is in its corsairs

Well that is only if you haven't a clue what your talking about of course.

Besides it not about current forces, it is about capacity, industrial strength, wealth and ability to project power, all of which Europe is unsurpassed in the modern world.

Let's also not forget allies outside of Europe also, the Anglo/French/Spanish connections to most of the world are also a potent weapon if dealing in Russia or China.

Russia and China are isolated both diplomatically and politically. China may be a powerhouse when it comes to production of gadgets the west requires, but without western money and markets it is not self sufficient and Russia is such a political mess that they wouldn't be able to sustain any kind of internal cohesion for any length of time.
 
A couple of days ago I was going to write a thread about how paranoid American seem to be getting about the China. Seems it was a good job i didn't as after reading this thread it seems we in the UK are as paranoid.
 
It would be so much simpler if there was one world government, no borders, everyone lived happily ever after and played war in computer games :(
 
Russia in the next 50 years is unlikely to reach the power amassed back in the Soviet days whilst it is in China's interest to keep the US spending. If all goes to hell, it can sell its massive USD stock and rape the US economy.
 
To be honest I would think you are more likely to see China and Russia locking horns over Siberia than any open conflict with the west.

And Castiel European domination for all that time - don't they teach marines the conflicts fought by Ogedai, Ghengis and Batu? That was just about the most dominating Empire ever and if had not been for Ogedai's death we would not have a Europe as we know it now.
