B Grade Graphics

So been on the lookout for a new 470 for a while now. I nearly brought a new MSI on before Xmas when they went to about £190. On the clearance page http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=595&catid=&sortby=nameAsc&categoryid=683 we have a few showing but at the same price as if new?

Thanks

I wouldnt bother I have questioned the prices of Graphics Cards on clearance before and been told thats the price pay it or lump it. This was when I questioned a 5870 being on sale for the same price as a new new one at the same time.

new can still be moved to clearance. This doesnt mean it sees a reduction. Its only when the item is graded that you see a reduced price.

but why offer a clearance item no cheaper than one listed in the component section, clearance items I thought are advertised slightly lower in order to "clear" them.

There were 10+ GTX465's for £102 an hour ago, but they were pulled as soon as I called to enquire about manyfacturer. Shame because they were the only thing worth considering. The rest of the clearance "bargains" are overpriced.

I reckon those are going to be a one off offer announced any time soon :)

too true.

GTX 260 896mb DirectX10 £107
GTX 460 768mb DirectX11 £95.99

which would you buy if you had about £100 to spend.

This made me laugh too

personally i would stay way from anything B grade if you can have a new untouched item for a 10-15 more?
Is it worth the saving?
#B# grade stock needs to be heavily discounted to make sense.

although some of the motherboard B grade items I have bought in the past have been quite good value, and the sound card b grade items too. Just seem to be graphic card b grade/clearance items are poor value.
