Interview tomorrow - quick question

Suit everytime.

Do not go in a camp looking £142 coat.

The jacket is not camp. All Saints are one of the most 'current' fashion brands out there at the moment. Like I say, from my experience of 'fashion' on these boards I'm not going to even contemplate listening to your opinion on if you think I should wear my 'camp' coat.

If you really want this job you will go in a suit. I can't believe you are even considering going in other clothes.
The only time I wouldn't wear a suit to an interview is for a numpty job like McDonalds or a trolley boy.
That coat is camp and you love it.

No, THAT jacket is camp.

Stop derailing your own thread.

WEAR A FLIPPING SUIT.

Something wrong with your caps button? I probably will end up wearing a suit, but whilst there's no right or wrong with fashion, the jacket is anything but camp. It's current and fashionable.

Why ask for advice then?

Because asking if I should wear a suit to an interview is completely different to asking if someone likes my coat. I couldn't care less if he if he approves of my coat because as I say fashion is subjective. Saying that, I'm pretty confident that he has no idea what fashion is if he labels my coat as 'camp'

Have you even heard of All Saints?

I'm not going to get into an argument with regards to what a smart jacket is on here. Going by some of the fashion thread on OCUK it's just not worth my time.

So what's your opinion of a smart jacket then? Henleys by any chance?

Don't ask for peoples ****ing opinion on what to wear then!

If you need to ask what to wear for an interview I would seriously not give you the job in the first place.

That jacket is not smart or camp, a 3 1/4 crombi or overcoat would be far smarter but your going to rock up like you're going down the pub!

As you have said in your other thread you can be a bit of an arse on here sometimes, your last 3 posts are arsey :)

You're not there to make a fashion statement. You're there to look professional.

If you spent £142 on the coat then go down to Matalan and get a new suit for £50:p
Nothing worse than a scruffy looking suit, but a new one (doesn't need to be expensive at all) looks professional and smart. Also, don't wear a red tie to an interview. Also a haircut if required :).

The second they see you they have probably decided whether they like you or not.

You're asking what to wear to an interview, and then you said you would wear that jacket. We're only trying to help. Maybe you need a lie down.

Of course I have, and I have clothes from there. That jacket is not smart though. Hell, it's not even 100% wool. That jacket is fine, it's not not nice (I wouldn't wear it, as I don't like double breasted jackets) and is fine for nights out, going to the pub, and what not but it isn't something you'd wear to an interview.

Hardly, I'm arguing that the jacket isn't camp, he's arguing otherwise.

Like I say, I don't care about his opinion on the coat, it has already been mentioned that I'm there to look professional, not fashionable....which is why I asked if people felt if a suit was necessary, I don't really see why the coat is a talking point.
