Been a while since i was last but here it goes ...

Which one should I go for ?

Asus GeForce GTX 460 Direct CU TOP 768MB

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-238-AS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1830

Or

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 460 SE 1024MB

http://www.zotac.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=100025&lang=en

Or are there any others I should be looking at ?

Also will a Coolermaster Elite 460W PSU And OC @ 3.5GHz AMD Athlon X2 240 be enough to support it ?

Upgrading for 3DTV Play which has just been released for purchase. Using it on a Samsung PS50C680 3DTV.

Thanks Guys !

I woud say around £150, I'm currently using a 240 Core Edition.

Ideally I need a Full Size 1.4 HDMI Socket too as I already have the nessary HDMI cable running from my current one to the TV, Full Size 1.4 supports Dolby True HD etc too.

The 470 looks nice though, hmm.

Thanks for your input btw.

Out of the ones you're looking at, I would always go for the Asus, it am sure it would be quieter and cooler.

That zotac is an SE edition, it has less cores and worse performance than even a GTX 460 w/ less memory.

Refer to these charts to get an idea of what the SE edition is like

If your budget is about £150, I would go for the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-103-MS (5850 frozr cooler), it seems like the best bang for buck by a long shot at this price. (Just look at the 5850 performance on those charts)

If you're really intent on going nvidia, I am sure you can find a GTX 470 for around £160, I think I found one earlier on OCUK so I'll try find it for you.

edit: Found the GTX 470, if you're willing to spend around £17 over your budget you can get something that beats the 460 SE, 460 and 5850.

I don't know what resolution you play at but according to those charts the 470 should perform around 40% higher than the 460 SE, 30% higher than the 460 768 and about 10% higher than than the 5850.

^ That's great, thanks !

I'll be using the Nvidia 3D Vision option so Nvidia it is, thanks for the heads up on the Zotac, I think I'll give that one a miss now.

Just looked at the Asus one again, just realised that is Mini-HDMI which I didn't really want but I guess I could work around that, would i need an adapter ?

Is the 470 your refering to the B Grade one ?

Thanks !

For 3D vision trust me you'll want as much horsepower as possible as framerates are effectively halved, a single 470 would be the absolute minimum I'd opt for.

Also what is B-Grade defined as ?

As far as I'm aware as it states it comes with 2 years warranty then that is what it should be sold with.

I think they're probably just selling them off cheaper as the 470 is now end of life.

Maybe a quick phonecall in the morning to OcUK would give you more peace of mind though?

I bought the Asus GTX460, still in the box as i haven't started building yet, but you can buy HDMI to Mini-HDMI cables on eBay for three pound, free P&P, thats where i got mine from :)

Just ordered a Mini HDMI adapter incase I need one ! Cheers.

Right another question, my current motherboards PCE-E slot is x16 Ver 1.0 not 2.0, will that effect the performance of the card ?

Also would my PSU and CPU handle it ?

Thanks again !
