How to move 200kg from portsmouth to Brighton?

It's no problem providing the guy can put in on a pallet and secure it with a strap? You'd be looking at a price of around £70 for item to be delivered within 4days max.

Also the bench should weigh more then 10kg if its good quality. My powertec one is 30kg and came in 2 parts.

The bench is very high quality.

£70? The value of the kit sort of goes down. Will end up paying £220 in total if this is the case, which seems to expensive. Guess i'll just have to look closer to home. Damn I hate waiting. Bet I'm going to be looking in a months time. ¬_¬

Two logs.

It may take some time.

I considered the train, but then thought your suggestion would be probably save me a mortgage.

Seriously, how expensive are trains?

If the train station could promise to look after my stuff and wait a minute or two for me to unload all the stuff, it might be worth a trip. They are such ******** in Brighton I can't see it happening...

Erm don't be ridiculous. A bench will easily fit in a normal car - sure you have to put the seats down, but that's purely owing to the length of it. And 200kg in a car is absolutely fine - cars can cope with a lot bigger load than 200kg (I'd be screwed otherwise every time I took 1 passenger ;)). I've moved more than that in 306.

306 estate maybe, but not a hatchback

lol

190kg of weights and a high quality bench would be worth around £700 brand new

Hmm that does put a different spin on things. God know why I want 190kg of weights when I weigh only 75kg myself haha. I'm guessing motivation ;)

Haha, would certainly be a workout if nothing else. :D

Taxi's? Surely they most cost hundreds?

Not sure, I was thinking your airport type taxi firms, I dunno if they have a specific name. But they must get luggage + 2\3 passengers from A to B quite often. And they usually do things for set cost, rather than a running clock.

I live in Portsmouth but the rest of my family are based in Brighton. I would gladly help you out but I doubt I'm going back to Brighton for atleast 2 weeks. If nobody else can help drop me an email!

It's a Infiniti bench. Sounds okay, but in reality I have no idea :p

tbh i would leave the bench, its worth about £20 second hand.

the weights 190kg, as long as they are olympic, are worth £275+ brand new (depends on they type and make, some can be worth £1K+), second hand £190+ assuming they aren't special in any way, just standard olympic plates.

Friend/family with a car of decent size. I had 500kg worth of passengers last night, was absolutely fine.
