some sort of range gauge would be good,

i always fire a random mortar at the start of a map when defending, i managed to direct hit the chopper and bagged 4 kills at the start of hastings on rush.

Actually how do you get the mortar strike in Vietnam? In normal BC2 I have it as part of my Recon kit but in Vietnam I just have dynamite or something.

u get both as default, very kind of them, with the m40 snipper its a good bit of kit if you give yourself the extra ammo perk and big ammo, u can have a good innings

dunno dude, what rank are you and have you unlocked all the bits in normal bfbc2? i went into the nam addon with everything unlocked, but just guessed it was unlocked for all.

Ranked 24 and as I said, I have unlocked the mortars in regular BC2 for the Recon kit.

Because you're pressing 3 twice and not 4?

I haven't pressed anything, I haven't tried to as I have assumed I don't have it, because it doesn't appear in the kit selection options like it does in regular BC2?

it's there by default (you always have it you can't have anything else), try scrolling down though your weapons once you've spawned.

Right I just tried it and yes it works, I didn't realise it was done in a different way in Vietnam.

I didn't try, I assumed they weren't there either It being Vietnam era and all.

if you dont know how to change your DX mode:

My Documents -> BFBC2 -> Settings.ini

find DxVersion=Auto down the bottom (and because your card supports DX 11) change it to DxVersion=11 save and close.

hope smoke nades come in a update, some rush maps are pretty tough if the teams are unbalanced and then the defenders just set themselves in and spawnkillings starts

Unfortunately smoke grenades won't stop blindly thrown grenades which is what half the maps descend into thanks to the ridiculous bottlenecks. Not to mention the Defenders would also get them and with the quick kills you'd only need to spray n pray to clear the smoke cloud.

Vietnam is desperate for smoke grenades. I've given up on it now, its only good for bumping up your k/d.

Yo, my clanmates and I have just got ourselves a server, and we're wondering how to go about making it rotate between Conquest and Rush maps.

Have got ProCon which has a plugin that lets you do it, but from what I can see I need to be running ProCon 24/7 in order for the script to run.


Any help appreciated.
