Over there...
Was involved in a hit and run (I got hit, they ran) and am witness for the cps prosecution. He pleaded not guilty by post so now we've got a day in court with 2 other witnesses (hopefully).

I'm torn because I believe people should take responsibility for their actions, but it's a company car and there wasn't much damage.

So I have nothing to gain. Having found him on facebook he looks a right rough ******* as does most of his family, so however slim the chance I could get some repercussions.

Nothing to gain, potential to lose :(

Just venting I guess...

You can request to remain anonymous - you should have done this already, but it is a possibility you still can if you show up early and speak to the clerk.

Oddly enough, I'm a witness in court tomorrow - I'm not looking forward to it, but it is the waiting around and poor time keeping that I'm dreading.

Go to court and do what you know to be right. Our underclass scum need to be nailed at each and every opportunity and twice on Sunday, thug lookalike or no.

Cheers

Anonymous - what does that get me? He wouldn't have access to my name or address anyway would he?

they asked me to confirm my name and address to the magistrate when i went to the court for my speeding

This was in front of everybody. Not sure if they'd ask you to do this ?

Definately get there early and speak to the clerk.

prolly a bit OTT tbh

Sure it will be fine. Not gonna come straight home, maybe grab a coffee, and get a cab or something.

nah, i'm not actually on FB under my name, started that off for work reasons, so not likely - but good tip :)

Good idea! My Facebook is locked down. People that I'm not friends with can't see a damn thing, friends can see some things, but work colleagues are severely restricted and have access to some of my photos and my employment information :p

Good luck tomorrow!

Well all of the witnesses rocked up, but the court had double booked so it's been adjourned. Great. Saw the chavvy little scrote, and am less concerned tbh

Worst bit about court is the waiting around. Once you're in you're there for what seems like 5 mins in comparison.

First time was when a taxi driver drove over me and my bike and then tried to say I hit him (lol). USed my insurance legal cover to go to small claims court and get it all settled. Very much worth it.

The second time I was in a real court getting my license taken off me for a stupid mistake. There was some real scum there on that day who were laughing and joking, known to all the staff there, but had been caught multiple times for driving without licenses, insurance etc. In a way I'd done worse by drink driving, but they made me feel better about myself as I knew I never wanted to be there again. Although a criminal all the same, I didn't fit in that's for sure.
