this is looking like the year i give up driving taxis :(

first off we have the government deciding that i dont get raped enough for my fuel costs and deciding they need to magically jump 20% over the last 12 months.

now my insurance renewal has came in with another 1 years no claims added and a 15% prive hike into the bargain.

sorry but had to vent somewhere having spent the last hour trying and failing to get a cheaper insurance quote and filled up aty £1.29 this morning :(

Looks like the slammed remaped Vectra running 18" compromotives isn't going to happen...

Perhaps now is the time to get your priorities in line.........

Old record is old already.

What do you earn and what are your costs?

not enough and a bloody lot

and quitting, nah i'm just grumpy besides, what would i do with all that duct tape and rohypnol if i weren't driving taxis?

meh enough moaning, lunch is over and i'm going back to work. time to get the game face on

///engages sarcastic know all ***** mode///

My mates a Taxi driver, drives a nearly new X5, bought a brand new Motorhome and also has a Jet Ski for weekends.
He makes most of his money on council contracts, ferrying kids from childrens homes to schools everyday 50 miles away and things like that.
Thing is quite often he turns up, child says he can't be bothered to go today, he still gets paid though as he's contracted.
Have you looked at contacting the council to offer your services?

Chipper already have 2 contracts 1 one education transport and another social work run

Although I do se then looking at alternative arrangements in the future with all the budget cutting etc as they(councils) spend an absolute fortune on taxi services for shuttling little darlings around

lots of taxi drivers go round in SDI Octavias for a reason.....
