i picked up the original livelry M3 GTR with white and blue from GT4 i almost did a sex wee when it appeared lol
 
i agree above, i got all gold within 1 hour..a bit dissapointed really, no challenge at all

also does anyone know if restoring rigidity/overhauling engine makes a big difference to the way the car drives?

then don't overtune your car, your complaining but obviously spunked money making it paste the opponents.

after a quick trial i think it's possible to do the prius and lotus event with a stock car on sports soft tyres and possibly a stage 1 engine but depends on skill of the driver

I could do that but I'd rather not make life difficult for myself if I don't need to.
 
Disappointed theyve removed the restrictions to Bonus 2 :(. Kinda stupid, all they had to do was reduce the lead the lead car has at the start of the race slightly (5secs max) which would mean 1st for a lot of them would be doable...

Can anyone who did the Time Trial/Drift Trial tell me what CR/XP they got and how it breaks it down? I didnt bother with the first set as I didnt know what the possible payoff was for the major effort required...

Eh? So your own disappointment is really your own doing though...

What I would vaguely recommend to some is to just match/be under the bhp of the top car in the possible driver list - that should make it interesting. I normally have a standard set of mods so see if I can do that (Sports Soft with Custom Transmission and any mod upto 2.5k individually)

Been enjoying a little WRC Rally championship today after getting frustrated with GT 5 in places (its just seeming more to me that it should be called The Real Scynchronised Driving Simulator, with the current penalty system its got little to do with racing lol)

Finally got all silver & gold on the S licence upto /including S-9 apart from Suzuka , and cant get better than 3rd currently (with Bronze being 5th), dont want to atttempt S10 until Ive got this silver but been stuck on it for a few days

Completed most of the Special events and racked up just over a million credits and all golds in the first two sections of A Spec, so slowly getting there - just have to remember Im using an expensive monitor so I dont throw my DS3 at it in frustration at the annoying AI/ penalties lol
 
Totally agree on that! It would have been great that whatever mods you put on the AI does to all the competing cars. PD just need to judge the initial gap it gives to the led car...

Im just getting to a stage where I just think PD are just plain lazy than anything. Even 'resting on their laurels' is too polite a thought...

It's odd with the relaxed rules, I felt the first set were perfect, a good challenge but doable, but then for the second set they made it far far harder...

And now they swing completely the other way and make it ridiculously easy, I just went for hard racing tyres for all of them, and even that 15k was overkill really, still a shade over 6.5 million in the bank now :p
 
How do I get to 14mil before the 2J disappears? Ill have 3-4mil after doing all the seasonals but Im on A Spec 21 and B Spec 0...

Not played this since the first week it came out where I did all gold in the licenses (for no good reason too lol).

Looks like I'm gonna be downloading the update for eternity thanks to rural internet. Any big changes?
 
Gahhh, stupid really easy seasonals, they pay so good, but I have max amount of money and don't know what to buy so I can make more :p
 
Just completed like the wind using the furai that you win in B-Spec, bought the turbo,engine upgrade and added soft race slicks and changed the oil. The indy course was a piece of cake, managed to do it first time. On the daytona race I got into first after the first lap but it was intense. I'm not a great driver and was dreading this event but it was a piece of cake in the furai.
 
Anyone know what the best Touring Car to buy is?

And why is the FGT event level 23 but I can't buy one until leve 24?! :confused:
 
I don't think it matters too much, I never had any issue with the ugly Merc Touring Car. The A4 is pretty good though.

You can buy a IS F racing concept new in the dealership, that'll win easily with no mods other than the best tyres available. Give it a tune up and B spec can win with it :) Its 750k new iirc
