Sectorial threat levels vary across the country, and most of them are less than severe. The country threat level hasn't been off severe for a long time.

Compared to the 70's, 80's and 90's..... you know..... when Britain was actually under terrorist attack..... the last decade has been pretty much terrorist free.

What have we had? 3 attacks? One successful one on the tube, an epic failure a week later, and then there was that guy that managed to burn himself to death at Glasgow airport.

Compared to the IRA these terrorists are an absolute joke, yet there is more hysteria now than there's ever been.

There would have been more had extremist attacks had they not been intercepted.

We can thank the US intel community for that.
 
Now that I think about if, after you posting this article, on my first two morning commutes back to work, I have noticed a larger than normal presence of Police Officers on the Tube.
