Mini Cooper S fanboy is back.

Whatever. Haters gonna hate.

I don't even mind the way the Bini drives particularly (though it's awfully cramped for a car that isn't exactly all that small). It's not a bad car by any stretch. It just looks stupid when they stick air vents and wings on it.

Couple of 'bonnet strap' stripes and maybe a couple of fog lights. That's all the shape can really support.

I totally agree. I went to see that and it does look stupid, especially for €25000!!
It was double that new

But that wasn't my point. My point was that it doesn't look effeminate.

Maybe its just me but i think that still looks a bit cutesy and girly.

so if you think this is out of my range what hot hatch would you recommend for £4,500? (grand aside for insurance) I would consider looking at Coopers but they basically cost just as much!

4,500 isn't a great deal, a Clio 182 perhaps, or a EP3 Civic Type R should be doable, will have a few miles on the clock though.

Well I was origionally looking at 172's but surely now I've had this influx of cash from my grandfather it would be worth me looking it to 182's from say 2004 onwards?

Clio 182 will give you the best value for money.

All you've posted in this thread is how Mini's are crap girly chav cars. Yet when I ask how thats different to your car, I'm the one being an 'ass'? Seriously?

These mini threads always seem to attract attention :p

I said the modded one pictured looked chav.

It's not girly and the spoiler suits the car perfectly, has lovely lines with it. Without it, it just looks wrong.

No, because they suit the car. Fox was doing being an ass, just jealous of the VTEC.

Fox has his own opinion, unless the DC5 Integra with the wing looks chav, to me it does not.

Anyway Fox, what do you think, skyline/supra with a big wing = chav?

If it floats your boat, buy it.

I want one, if I could afford one.

But I went in one in the show room the other week and its not as nice as I remembered when I drove one when learning. The car feels bigger than it is, it doesn't feel small. There's also quite a lot of plastic...not nice plastic either. That dash looks like its made from £5 analogue clock from Argos for a start.
