hey guys,

as you guys have properly seen in my other posts i am always changing my mind on my build plans lol (some reviews put me off things and some attract)

anyway i already have the mobo as my dad bought me it as a xmas gift :)

i am looking towards these parts for my build

CPU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-339-IN

MOBO http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=170&prod_no=1844

RAM http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-104-GL

GPU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-066-GI

CPU COOLER http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-031-TT

CASE&PSU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-004-CM

anyway thats what i have come up with and also will it be easy to tidy the cables behind the mobo tray with this psu and case

is there any changes you would do to it also i may go SLI with these cards when i get some more money and buy a psu at the same time

cheers

Looking good, although personally I wouldn't go down Fermi - too damned hot! Especially if you're going to SLI them...

I would get a HD6950 and flash it to a HD6970!

Cooler, less power, and faster  - they also scale brilliantly in Crossfire.

Just a heads up, the Frio can be very very noisy (43dBa) - an Akasa Venom would be a good alternative at a similar price

even with the gigabyte cooler ??

i fort that would make a huge difference in temps

also is the corsair h50 worth looking at ???

also will i notice any difference in nvidia perferd games if i go with the 6950 ??
for example metro 2033 / bfbc2 / hawx 2 etc...

The gigabyte 470 soc features a cooler that is vastly better than the stock coolers, much quieter too.

so which will perform better the 6950 with bios flash or the gtx 470 soc oc'd ???

also what shall i do about cpu cooler wise ??

Only you can decide which card is best, as it's a personal preference. Take a look at benchmark results for both cards and see which ranks highest for the sort of games you like to play. Also a good idea to get a card that is compatible with your motherboard for xfire or sli. Some boards only support one or the other. Ideal if you want to upgrade in the future.

With regards to the cpu cooler. Depends on how much you want to overclock if at all. If you don't plan on overclocking, then the stock cooler will come with your cpu and saves you spending cash on another. If you do plan to overclock then anything over £40 is ideal. I personally use the coolermaster v8 and think it's an excellent cooler, I am running a [email protected] and have very reasonable temps on load. It also looks pretty cool compared to some of the other ones which are pretty ugly.

most of the games i play are nvidia perferd games and my mobo supports xfire and SLI

im planning on ocing the cpu to 4Ghz+
