Best way of making my money back

I know plenty of people who work in the London HMV stores.. so 20% discount plus using vouchers to buy hardware etc would be the route i'd take.

Highly reccommend you contact a student friend so he/she can get you 10% off also

Just an idea ;)

A private selling market that has no fees. Vouchers, for some reason, go for near their face value (if you need any help selling them, let me know - i have good feedback there).

What are you looking for them out of curiosity?

Unfortunately you're a little late as I have gone with the iPad idea and I'm gonna try n sell it on. If you get back to me quickly with a good offer of say £450 (for £510 worth of vouchers) I may be able to take back the iPad tomorrow and sell the vouchers to you.

I'd be well cross if my insurance company tried to force me to accept vouchers from one company.

Who are you insured with?

Endsleigh, but to be fair I would have much rather had these vouchers than had all the games and blu rays replaced as I'd never use most of them again.

Odds on the OP just keeping his shiny new iPad?

Not a fan of the iPad as I just don't see the point in it, definitely looking to sell it on :)

I agree on the iPad idea, apple stuff usually holds its value pretty well second hand. So anything iPod, iPad etc should work quite well.

I've noticed the For Sale/Trade section on HUKD a few times. Does it actually work well? What's the chance of me actually making a sell with no feedback?

Tell me about it, I got my 4 year old Xbox 360 knicked and the insurance company replaced it with a brand new slim 250GB model. My 3 year old 40GB Playstation also got replaced with a 160GB slim model :p

The games and blu-rays that got knicked I never watch/play and I probably never would again, and they gave me vouchers to well over the second hand value of what got stolen.

I'm tempted to make a habit of this getting burgled business :D

The only minor inconvenience was losing some save games off my hard drive and being without Black Ops for a few weeks.

So far I'm liking the iPad idea, although I'm interested to find out if the 64GB model selling for £500 on their website has the same price in store.

they got NICKED!

It depends, new sellers tend to get asked to send goods first and once received payment will follow (no problem with this as long as you send to a known member of the site).

But a lot of people are members there and well worth a try - no fees = nothing to lose!

Oh right, I might do so. Got a new wireless keyboard/mouse to shift. If not I'll try here :)
