Good choice, i have the doorless A70F variant, same internally as the A71F. Masses of space and extremely well built. I suggest you resize the images down a bit though as theyre rather large.;)

hehe yeah sorry i was resizing them as u were posting :P

the case really is amazing, it feels so nice too! taking off the panels was so easy!

maybe u remember how long i have wanted one of these cases for? :P

but i dont know if i will have time to build into it until march(!) :( because i really want to take my time with it and get it all looking nice and clean inside like you guys have

Yep, theyre lovely cases, can remember you saying that you wanted one of theese. Tbh mate, i wouldnt look to mine for inspiration, quite messy lol:D. Paradigm has a thread up with lots of internal shots of cable management, an extremely tidy build which should give you some ideas.:)

yeah i have seen that thread, scary how good his case is inside. i will never be able to do mine that good.

definitely gona need to get some cable extensions too! as well as cable clips/ties etc.

in the long term it will get watercooling, but gota change my cpu mb and ram first

ive hads an a71a for years which is basicly exactly the same but the motherboard tray now has an even bigger hole behind the CPU , it now has an e-sata connector port (i guess at the front top of the case) and the front fans are now 140mm instead of 120.

it cost me £140 back in 22 Jun, 08, 12:18 pm and its one of the best purchases i ever made , i dont see any need to replace it in the future as its likely to be more than big enough the only problem would be if motherboards format changed from atx/matx/E-atx

I was thinking about getting the haf X but after seeing that system, I want the A71 instead...

I will have two PSU’s two loops with bay resivoirs and DCC Laying pumps, and 360 and 120 radiators.

Now I can squeeze this into the Haf, or maybe i could just fit this into the A71 with a bit more room to spare....

Oh the choices!

2 psu's will fit fine in the A71, however though, with one psu in the top you wont be able to use a 360 radiator in the top section.

Don't need two psu's really do you? Thats 4 GTX470's and a i7 970 in there on one PSU pulling around 1200W at load

A70/71 are great cases, you can get a lot inside one :)

Biffa, does that 120mm radiator line up with the watercooling gromets of the case? if so, which one is it?

i want to put a 140.3 in the top and 120.1 on the back, i was thinking slim 120.1 but if that lines up i'll probably do it the same as you have.

congrat's on the new case and welcome to the club!
will be watching your progress to see what you come up with! oh what fun!
heres mine with 360 rad in roof and 280 up front!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
By the way just to give you an idea the cooling power of this setup both rads are black ice sr-1 and all fans tick over at 750rpm the cpu is clocked to 4.2 24/7 and the never goes over 62'c and the 5870 does 1030/1300 and never goes over 52'c!
All nice and quiet :D

well i have been thinking about it for a long time, since before you sent me the link to that roof panel for a triple rad.

its gona be something like this...

06012011166loop.jpg

radiators are red, blocks are black, tubes are blue, reservoir is green, pump is purple. white arrows to show direction of flow.

It will be a triple 140mm radiator in the roof, single 120mm on the rear (both using push-pull fans. with full cover gfx block and 7hdds in the front cage :D

i just bought a nb water block for £15 so im committed now! :P

should be similar to yours (a little bit less based purely on radiator sizes)

seems ok to you? any major problems?

I love my A70 you can fit so much in there.
I think the angle will be pretty tight from the nb to the rad unless you use a 45 degree fitting.
The tubing from the rad to the cpu block will be a pain unless you use another 45 degree fitting on the cpu block.
Here is how i done the tubing.

hmm yes, that does look like it could get quite nasty with how my motherboard is laid out... might have to use a slim 120 on the back...

needs a bit of consideration, maybe make the tubes meander a little bit
