I was paying £142 a month with Quinn Direct.

But then when I was to get it renewed they were asking for £180 a month.

I havnt driven it for 2 months, just becasue I aint been able to afford it.

I have just done a quote on go compare, and flux was the cheapest with £170 a month, I then rung them up, they went through my details, and they asked me if I had a part time job, I said yes, I have a part time job and I am in full time education.

The quote went up from £170 a month to £190 because I have a part time job, I only work part time as a waiter. lol

I have only gone for 3rd party fire and theft

Help!!!

get something less modified, that might help.
or if you arent actually driving much lower the expected mileage. also have a crazy excess like peerzy, then you wont pay any insurance :p

£190 a month TPFT for a corsa?

I hope it's not just the body that you've modified it with for it to cost you that much.

/edit oh its a 1.6 and you're 19

Try Suretermdirect 0800 999 2030 I had a Superb quote from them tuther day that spanked Flux.

I will never understand why people bother to modify a Corsa.

It boggles the mind that someone would choose to spend £1,000 bolting on tatt from Halfords instead of saving that grand allowing a better car sooner.

That said that's not the worst looking Corsa I've ever seen.

I thought Quinn went under?

Anyway, try the usual hightstreet companies by calling them. As your car is modified you might be better trying compnaies like Chris Knott, Greenlight, Sky Insurance, Noel Dazely, A-Plan etc. as they will probably not charge for minor mods and keep things respectable.

I would also investigate whether ignoring the mods makes much of a difference to the quotes, it might not be the car but other aspects of your quote that are making the difference. Odds are with mods declared on a high street policy you're going to be paying big £££ unless you're over 25.

You can apply the same arguement to most cars really. I bet most of that "tat" will still be worth some good value when removed and resold to someone else so it's not the end of the world. The Corsa in the OP looks quite nice to me. Nice colour, sits well, not a bad first car which I'm assuming it is. I'd be proud of that if it was mine, my first two cars were sheds in comparison.
