Dual Tuner Digital TV Tuner Card

Two I know of are

Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD 500 Dual digital DVB-T PCI Freeview TV Tuner card
 
I've got a Peak Dual DVB-T PCI card in my HTPC, I think it was about £22. They come highly recommended on the MediaPortal forums. I've been running it for about 8 months now with no problems what so ever on Windows 7 x64! :)
 
we have a black gold dvb t2 card, was around £90. that does freeview hd, pci-e

before that, hauppage something or other, which was good but only did standard deffinition

This Hauppauge HVR4400 says it has a quad-mode tuner. Does that mean I can watch and record different channels at the same time, or is it a single tuner that can do all 4 functions, but only one at a time?

You would be able to record a DVB-S channel and watch a DVB-T channel at the same time, but you wouldnt be able to to watch a DVB-T channel and record another DVB-T channel at the same time.

So basically think of the first two listed functions as one and the final two listed functions as one. You can do any one from each two at the same time but never two from the same two at the same time.
