Have Intel Killed AMD Off...............

lol you just said make a poll to see a popularity contest. Right, but what are you trying to prove again? If intel was deemed most popular, what would this mean? and vice versa.

Make a poll of what processor is selling the most right now.

Sandy Bridge at a higher price or AMD at a lower price?

Sandybride has just been released!!! why do you gibbo has over 1.5k stock? Because its a new product and there are no real threats to i7 K chips at the moment. It would have been more on par if the Zambezi et.al bulldozer chips were out, to see which chips sold most volume.

Some posters are saying that AMD offer the best value. So why are the Intel Sandy Bridge selling like hot cakes on here?

I will enlighten you: People are paying for performance. That is how it is ;)

That's right some people will pay extra for performance & has always been the case.
So your point is that your not saying anything that we don't already know.

I really need to inform you that your currently taking shelter in an enthusiast forum, where majority of members enjoy consuming new hardware. By the way, read my earlier posts and respond to those as I have along with many, responded LIBERALLY to your scenario in OP.

I have said it all along.............People will pay a bit extra for performance, and i think it proves it how many people are buying the Sandy Bridge chips on here.

Your argument was that people will pay less for AMD? Not from what i have seen up to now. Stay cool it has been nice debating with you. :)

^^ Revise. Doesn't make sense.
Again, I really need to inform you that your currently taking shelter in an enthusiast forum, where majority of members enjoy consuming new hardware, and sandybride is new!! Plus people who usually buy intel chips will buy intel chips again and again, unless AMD pulls out some new innovation worth switching over to. Its loyalty, you know like "fanboism", its not always about "performnce" you know, there are many other factors you need to take into consederation.

Have you ever heard of spell check? Thank you for the input.

Read "Consumer Behaviour" by Michael Solomon, you'd know many factors come into play, and yes "performance" is likely to be of key influencers in deciding to buy Intel chips. But remember Op, it didn't kill AMD.

Peace.

I have not said that people will not pay a bit extra for performance but the point is that not everyone will & that point is true because if it was not then there would be no AMD CPUs used here or anywhere, maybe you need your eyes testing if you think no one is buying AMD.

You have no point really as AMD has been behind since the core2 & your saying that no one has bought AMD since then because you think everyone will pay that bit extra for that bit extra for performance is way off.

I know what you are saying. I just like a good debate..........Stay cool ;)
