haha, so yeah. I have never tried lobster before and I want to give it a go on my own, I know it probably would be better going to a restaurant, but if i want to try it again in the future i cant afford to dine like that all the time :p so I need some help on how i go about cooking and eating a lobster.

I know its not just a case of boiling it and getting a knife and fork and eating away, arent there some kind of special prep details and certain parts you should eat and shouldnt eat?

Any lobster experts advice appreciated :D

Never cooked it myself, but plenty of videos on you tube, get a nice steak to go with it. Surf and turf. Lobster is ectremly nice. But longasteins are brilliant as well and far cheaper.

Lobster thermidor is something I've always wanted to try, but I've only ever had it plain or in a light sauce with pasta. Not so keen on it plain because it's a bit of a waste of a good flavour, but it has the sort of flavour that goes really well with butter and garlic and a dash of herbs. I've also seen it brushed with olive oil, garlic and a bit of chilli and whacked on the barbeque, which would just be teh awesomistz0r way of doing it :)

Just make sure the water is boiling before adding the lobster. Ignore any comments you may hear that mention that lobsters make a screaming type noise as they are added to the water. It's only air escaping from the shell.

TC.

EDIT: And don't forget a pinch of salt in the water :)

Lobster on a bed of crispy noodles in garlic sauce. omfg. Hit up your chinese restaurant and ask for that :)
