Pc gaming comes to consoles?

defies the purpose surely, fps gaming on ancient hardware, and dont you really need a desk for using the mouse, cant see the sofa army seizing it very well lol

Is it anywhere near as good as the XIM though or does it suck massive balls like the last dozen 360 KB&M adaptors have done?

This is nothing new, they've just never taken off because they're either expensive (XIM) or utter **** (everything else).

The XIM is in its third iteration now and even sports a nice screen on its little box of magic - http://xim3.com/?page_id=182

Much nicer than that big grey plastic abortion linked to.

Well.... thats me giving up console gaming all together lol, i play console games because of joypads multiplayer will change a lot with keyboard and mouse.

It's a horrific thing where the mouse emulates a joystick, they;'ve been around for years since the ps2.

they all suck.

MS/Sony will never add m/kb support to most on-line fps games because it would be hugely unfair for the joypad people.

And if you did use one (that actually works) to play against joy pad people you'd be border line hacking as you'd have a large unfair advantage (although par for the course for cod gamers i suppose)

This type of device isn't exactly new, they've been around for years and people have been using them on Live for years.

I'm not sure why everyone seems to think this is going to produce some sort of control revolution, it'll most likely be just as crap as every other cheap KB&M adaptor that has gone before it.

I only see it being used by people that can't compete on PC level, but want to think they're awesome by pwning people using pads.

Now this could potentially be great news, remember ages ago there was talk of PC gamers being able to play with console gamers, but there was the thing about PC gamers with mouse and keyboard basically had an unfair advantage over console gamers which is why they didn't do it.

Well, if this new piece of kit takes away the advantage, we could well see PC gamers and console gamers both playing together.

So console gamers with Mouse and keyboard play with PC gamers, and console gamers with controller play with PC gamers with controllers.

Indeed... mouse/keyboard vs controller isn't even a challenge. And frankly if you're gonna get it for games like RPGs or Strategy just get a pc and be done with it.

tefal the newer versions are a lot better than older ones but they do cost a bit.

thing is if it becomes mainstream which it will and im sure the next consoles will probably come with it built in.

a joypad isnt as good as a keyboard we all know this and same goes for the mouse. saying its cheating is quite comical. everyone has the same choice to buy one if they want.

also it might not just to be to own nabs on xbox it might be that games run easier on console less problems and to be honest graphics arnt that different.

i have black ops on xbox and mw2 and honestly it looks as good as pc it doesnt lag and is smooth as hell. with other games mostly on console first or priority then you may see why some keyboard users from pc may like this

the xim3 does still look better but its double the cost of this. anyone know of release date for xbox 360 ?

except it's an emulator the console has no idea you're using it as far as it's concerned you're using a joypad.

So IF an that's a big if, it works properly as advertised a bunch of console people now have the same unfair advantage over the other console players.

Basically removing the one "hacks free"/level playing feild advantage console mp had.

thing is if 90 percent of games are console games ported then why would you ?

i like my pc gaming but the gap is getting nearer and things like this is what makes some angry cause deep down they know there 2000 quid pc is playing console games 90 percent of the time.

thing is as consoles gain more and more you getting ever closer to a box under you tv that does everything. whether they call it a pc or console or hybrid i dont care as long as it games and does what i want it too.

everyone has the option to download hacks, that doesnt say they should. It defeats the purpose of playing online on a console and gives an unfair advantage against those who play consoles because they like joypads.

If you want mouse and keyboard buy yourself a PC.

I have a PC so wont really be effected that much, but i do enjoy playing on the PS3/Xbox360 with my mates and passing the joypad around, i wont be doing that very often if this happens and a lot of people fall for it.

DG is a cod player and so believes using engine bugs, glitches and modifying the game to give yourself an unfair advantage is fine because anyone could do it if they were an equal dick.
