Got it running stable at 4.3Ghz at 1.35v :D

It did do 4.5Ghz at 1.3 but it wont do it now, tried it at 1.325 and it wouldnt even start so tried 1.35 same, knocked it down to 4.3Ghz and that wont run at anything but 1.35v now.

Am i missing something?

Thanks

other settings perhaps? are you just putting in 1.35 and 45 multi and hitting f10 to save? you probably need to adjust some more settings. bit tech have a 2500k article on overclocking with settings on your motherboard.

keep us informed as i would have expected at least 4.6 from your cpu at 1.35v.

dont go over 1.4 volts btw! infact has your motherboard not got a drop down setting under advanced to hit 4.60 etc? i heard it was a 1 touch overclock on most chips! worth a try?

Thanks for the reply.

Yea, it has other settings but not sure if i need to touch those or not, hence why i posted this thread.

The only settings i have changed are the multiplier then adjusted the voltage to get it to boot. Strange how it did do 4.5ghz then it wouldnt do it.

Yea i read not to go over 1.4v so im sticking at 1.35v for now.

I know nothing about this but did remember reading that your bios version can have a lot to do with it, maybe check that route out?

Ive just upgraded that about 10 mins ago so maybe worth another try now.

Edit: Just tried it again and its now running at 4.5Ghz, testing with Prime to see if its stable :D
