Asian Gangs

There is no solution, never has been or will be, every culture in every country has its trouble makers.
Exactly, So why do many politicians, and people like Castiel portray multiculturalism as a 'solution' and force it upon society, without ever saying what exactly it solves?

This is what grinds people, it gets forced on us, brings with it countless problems and seemingly 'solves' absolutely nothing. So what is the point?

Stop with your pretentious posting. Time and time again you see plain as day your multicultural diatribe cause problems, problems that literally dont need to have ever occured, and yet you continue your blind support and even refer to multiculturalism as a 'solution' - a solution to what, exactly?

If you don't like it, use the ignore button.

I have neither the time or inclination to debate your form of idiocy. Maybe your 'hero' Adolf Hitler had the 'solution', but luckily we live in a society that no longer ascribes to those kind of 'solutions'.

Tolerance from both sides is the solution, when you isolate a community, either by action or inaction then of course Multiculturalism fails. It is hardly rocket science to work out that community divisions are the result of intolerance from both sides.

I'm British, I wish I wasnt, but not much I can do about it.

Emigrate to another country and become a citizen perhaps?

Personally I am proud to be British, less proud of what Britain has allowed itself to become however, which has little to do with immigration in my book and lots to do with how we have let our standards, principals and culture be diluted. We asked immigrants to come to this country in the first place and then spent most of the time complaining about them and making them feel as welcome as crap on your shoe yet today we still wonder why immigration isn't working. Our country has itself to blame and to lay it all at the feet of the people we invited to come here is idiotic, even if today some of them are scum.......like some of those who have been her generationally for 500 years are scum.

What is multiculturalism a 'solution' to?

That wouldnt change me from being British though now would it. I may well be say a Canadian citizen, but I myself would still be British. Just a Brit living in Canada. I mean, Pierce Brosnan is an American citizen, but he is still British isnt he.

What are you talking about, Castiel this or Castiel that. Show the the context in which I stated Multiculturalism is a solution to anything and then it may be relevant, until then stop trying to make out I hold specific views without quoting the relevant posts.

So do YOU consider yourself BRITISH? I'm guessing you don't given that answer.

On the flip side, ethnically I'm Indian but I was born here and am proud to call myself British. I also respect my heritage but if that were to threaten the way of life here then I would fight it. However, I don't think the Sikh community will be uprising. :p

In recent months we have seen a spate of right wing populist parties making gains in parliaments across Europe.

In Hungary, the right wing Jobbik Party won 16% of votes in parliamentary election earlier in the year capitalising on the rising nationalist feeling and a resurgence of anti-Semitic and anti Roma sentiment to gain votes.

In the Netherlands Geert Wilders and his Party for Freedom made major gains during local elections in march and while he distances himself from anti-Semitic rhetoric, Islam is the target for his ire.

The French UMP party stand accused of racism in their dealings with the Roma population and Nicholas Sarkosy's party was forced to cancel a public debate titled "Immigration, Islamism. Is France threatened" amid accusation of discrimination last month, and this comes as the French Govt prepare to discuss future immigration law.

Left wing socialist parties across Europe including Poland, Germany, Spain Portugal and Denmark are all nursing wounds in their respective elections.

Now we have Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel stating in no uncertain terms that Multiculturalism in Germany has failed. In a speech in Potsdam she said that the "multikulti" concept - where people live together side by side - does not work.

Merkel went on to say she continues

She acknowledged the German Presidents statement earlier in the week who said

Merkel also stressed that immigrants living in Germany needed to do more to integrate, including to speak German.

Her next statement is somewhat worrying in it's implication

What does that mean exactly, that anyone who cannot speak German will be removed, let's step back and remember history here for just one moment.

So we have seen a sudden growth in anti immigration and particularly anti-Islamic feeling from mainstream politicians, where will this lead?

Is multiculturalism dead, or are we just feeling effects from the recession, where the majority are feeling the pinch and look to blame someone, automatically seek to lay blame at the minority foreign populations in our countries and like the 1930's recession and subsequent depression, with France and Germany's mainstream leading political parties and leaders voicing such sentiments do we have to worry about a similar outcome regarding those seen as outsiders in our community.

I am a supporter of a multicultural solution, but in light of recent debates and news I am open to some sensible discussion on this point and whether there is anything we can do about the problems it raises....

What is it a solution to?

I'm not white but would consider myself British and English after all I was born in Ingurland. :)

Shock I know - maybe I need to find some white women to rape to change my mind?

But it would allow you to move away from the culture and society you are ashamed (one assumes) to be part of wouldn't it. You're ashamed to be British there must be some underlying reasons for this and while you can't change who and what you are you can move far away from the place that made you what and who you are surely?

I realise she's not Asian, so not entirely relevant, but I found out the other day that my mum - who has lived here over 40 years - still isn't a British citizen.

THE HORRORS.
