is the stuff in the b grade stock/clearance area customer returns or just end of line stuff......i just bought a hazro monitor in there and suddenly thought about it.....

i dont want to have spent hundreds of pounds on a monitor thats been faulty even if it was a good deal....

They would be customer returns, warranty repairs, possibly no manual or other extra's.

As above, generally B grade items are ones that customers have bought but then returned in fully working condition. It also includes refurbished items, items with "accessories" missing, or even just open boxes.

i just bought a hazro 30" monitor in there...

do you think it will have any marks on it?.....

would any of the mods be able to advise?

it has 3 years return to base warrenty so mechanically im sure its tip top

but i dont want marks or scuffs on my new monitor...there was no info

to say why it was in that section......

There's no info because that would defeat the point of the "clearance" section - they are items just be gotten rid of.

OCUK Employees might be able to tell you if there's anything wrong with it, but chances are they won't.

its a £700 monitor...not a lucky dip

if theres something wrong with it it will go right back for a full refund so

its within there interests to mention it to save them and me time

Just outa intrest what price did you get it for?

think it was £715...it caught my eye as i was about to buy the one in the monitor section for £850.....thought it was end of line or something...
was looking at hazro when i read a review on them searching for u3011..
10 minutes previous i was a finger push away from buying the u3011 for £1200.....the difference between £1200 and £715 was just to much to rule out..hope i dont regret it....

** B-Grade Warranty - Extended to 90 days **

All B-Grade items are fully working, they are either unwanted items, repaired/refurbished items or items with cosmetic damage. BUT they do work fine!

Nope sales don't have access to the warehouse, so they can't go and inspect B-Grade items, neither do they have time to do so. B-Grade is about been a bargain and the products are sold at a loss.

These losses greaten if we spend time inspecting stock, tying up phone lines.

Also if we inspected the stock, the savings would not be as big, the reasons B-Grade savings can be big is because of that gamble.

So nope OcUK will not grade different B-Grade product and can sales inspect stock.

It looks as though B grade are tested when received back but due to being difficult to list exactly whats wrong with each item there is no way to tell the items exact condition until you receive it.
Unlikely anyone from OcUK would be able to take a look at it and tell you what its like.

Guess it depends if the 90 day warranty cover's not being happy with the item due to damage or missing parts due to its B grade status, although if they have had it returned once, can't see any reason why they shouldn't take it back a second time if your not happy with it.

chucked them an email saying dont send it to me till i speak to someone about it......i will either tell them to send me the new one they have or buy the dell u3011 instead if i cant get a satisfactory explanation of why its b grade...

You still have a right to return an item, even if it is b-grade.

When it arrives check it over, if you are happy with it, awesome - if not send it back.

I have ordered a few things from B-grade mainly MB's and once a GFX card all for budget builds and have never had anything faulty.they just don't have cables/manuals which i'm fine with apart from the last MB i got which didn't even have a backplate which was a pain.
but for the discount you get tis fair enough i guess.
As RickST says check it on arrival if your not happy RMA it under distance selling.

And that is a very good price you got £715 for £850 monitor who cares if you dont get a manual
