Cant seem to get insured on my chav mobile

Hang on... don't you keep joining and then getting banned again?

I'm not thinking of Gaz with the arse roof. Sure I've seen that car before...

I vaguely remember an image.

It was posted parked outside some sort of farmhouse or something?

I remember it getting slated then too.

Sell it and get something you can afford to drive.

If you can't afford to drive a Corsa B then i'm afraid a step down would probably be a peasant carrier? :D

Nice Corsa that is mate, theres nothing chav about that.

However I'd cry at paying that much every 3 months never mind every month lol.

All you can do is try the specialists. I pay less on a modded policy than I would if mine was standard.. however if you're young a lot of them are 20+ now minimum age which is a nightmare I guess.

They went into administration for about a month last year, although kept policies running and then came back with much higher prices. They must have realised offering such low prices wasn't working out, I was on £1580 with them last year and received a renewal this year for £1593 (inc 1year ncb). Needless to say I left them :)

Quinn Direct were awesome, DOC at 18; my father used to leave me borrow his R32 GTR :)

Everywhere seems to be stopping DOC now though, had it on flexi bell for a few years but they stopped doing it for under 25's. Only 6 months to wait to have it again anyway.

OP: as has been suggested try Admiral/Bell. Fully comp with high excess is cheaper than TPFT, put under 6k miles a year. Occupation can make a big difference, i work in local government I.T - I.T tech is cheaper than government worker! Social with commuting and business is cheaper than just social, and secure public car park works out cheapest. My ex used to work there. There's also a glitch in the system you can do by selecting a really high value car and putting the excess at say 5k, change to the car you want (i.e corsa) and it will keep the excess you selected previous resulting in a big discount - unfortunatly when I rang up they noticed this right at the very end when he was running through everything with me so I had to pay the correct price! worth a go though :p

It's not chav but it is crap and stereotypical trendwhore fodder.

Or 17 :) It was great, however they have now increased it to over 25s only :( Not that I used DOC much anyway, but it was handy.

I used to use it all the time, drove so many cars under it. Managed to "persuade" my mother to buy an Evo II and insure it also, which I used to drive reguarly :)

Cant wait to be covered again TBH, my mates got a nice RX7, drove it a few times standard but he's done a few mods now so dieing to have another go!

Are you being serious?

Yeah, it has GSi skirts, a Steinmetz front valance smoothed in and decent aftermarket wheels. It's lowered a bit...and is otherwise largely standard!

You tell me whats chav about it? Or is it instant chav because of the stigma due to it's name of "Vauxhall Corsa"?

It's not crap at all Janesey, I'd pick that over your Fiesta ANY DAY of the week.

I must always drive stereotypical trendwhore fodder then if I lower my car and change the wheels lol.

Everyones insurance has gone up, I just got my renewal and its gone up by £80 to £630 and its only a hatch back shopping trolley. You just have to deal with it and if you cant afford it then sell it and get something thats standard with a lower insurance group as a modified 1.6 Corsa B will be very expensive to insure for a 19 year old

Stomster has a point, as much as I hate the things that one has been done up quite nicely compared to others and there are worse cars to own at 19
