Here's the server for anyone who wants a bit of fun, surprisingly it's already got 9 people buzzing around on it. It's currently Squad Deathmatch but I'll switch it around whenever I feel like it. Up to 12 people because I'm just a poor boy.

Lies i can no scope quite well now, can even do it at greater than 1 hit ranges some times :D

There's no way of knowing where it will go exactly but you get a feel for it eventually :p
 
I tend to agree with Tefal. By the end of my recent 1000 kill tryout of the M24 I started to get a feel for no-scoping. It's still not very reliable though.
 
Ive only played vietnam, I like the flamethrower too much. Not tried bc2 yet apart from playing in the beta

Trying to get the trick of using the svd or m40 rifles, seems others already pretty good with them

My sentiments exactly. It is obsenely powerful. I tend to flick between that and the M16. In fact, in Hastings, I am really finding my range with the M16, just an awesome map that.


As for the stats, yeah I am having a nightmare getting everything to update. I don't know what they have done but it worked perfectly fine UNTIL the Vietnam update.....

I think hes got a very good chance of getting someone to play it TBH.
Our HC server with 3 sniper limit has been averaging 24 players every month
almost twice the average players that our softcore with no limit sees.

The sniper limit can be set to exclude players with a reserve slot - friends / clan members who ever.
So with a bit of luck getting snipers who play the role correctly.

Actually you can set it so only sniper rifles are limited,
so you can still go rcon and have say a shotgun / c4 / mortar ect..
 
God what an awful session I just had on this...I swear at least 70% of the people on the server were using some variety of shotgun, it was utterly mad. Couldnt move anywhere without a shotgun blast echoing across the field and dropping you. The more it happened, the more people changed to a shotgun and the more it happened, was like some kind of evil shotgun loop !
 
Played on a server no teamwork at all, guy shooting at my tank while two team mates run away instead of defending me. I had good health too!, Suddenly they all started talking in french.

How many f'ing times do i have to come across retarded french/russian gamers!, yet you cant say that here because some ocuk members thinking i'm being racist. I have years of experience in playing online in some form or another and it's the russians and french who turn out to be tossers online. Sure the people maybe lovely, but not online :(

Requesting ammo, ammo guy standing next to me does nothing then runs off :|

No supprise at the end of it when our entire team lost at the top end of 900 points!
 
Finally improving at this game after spending rank 1-3 with a 0.55 KD or so.
Just got a joystick aswell hope to have fun in helis in it and on BF2.

Managed to bail out of a heli falling from pretty high and shooting some guy with sniper, guess its all luck though but was cool.

Replay theatre would be nice, but by far the best FPS out at the moment, leaps and bounds ahead of COD really.
 
Just a though:

Would anyone be up for chipping in for a 32 player HC server?

Just cant find a decent one full of team players, and would be awesome to have some proper squad work etc.

Looks like 26 quid a month, obviously cheaper if you buy it for 3/6/12 month periods :)

As I said, just an idea, and would be good to have a place where we can all get on and play :)
 
I'm a bloody good medic topping out in the ranks but everytime i try sniper, i'm awful. I die more times than i do kill, my mortars are way off and everyone can find me. This is both the vanilla and expansion.

Shall i just stick with medic?

I find most snipers are easy to find really, and i find i can be found pretty easily too. Although i haven't played Vietnam even though i have purchased it, doesn't appeal to me as much.

If i was you i'd keep trying sniper can be very fun, even capping bases with just a pistol and getting C4 down.
