Hi guys, I've recently received a pre-built system from Overclockers however I'm concerned it may be getting too hot. It's this system - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-025-OP&tool=5, at idle it's around 45-50 celcius. At load, while playing Bad Company 2, I've noticed it go up to 78 celcius at its highest so far. Now is this me being paranoid as I really don't know much about overclocking or is this a little high? I've read that the i7's run hot and can be ran at up to 80 celcius. What concerns me most is that it's this temperature in Winter so obviously it will increase when it comes to Summer.

Here's a screenshot of Core Temp from my last gaming session:

This seems like a perfectly reasonable load temperature to me, however I have an i7 920 C0.

Currently mine is running all cores under 40c at 4ghz, load is usually around your temp if not higher in an antec 1200 with all fans on low with cooler master v8.

I will report back with actual load temperatures as I am about to play some BC2.

edit: 45 mins of BC2; cpu hit 79c, although I can't tell you my ambient, I am sitting comfortably wearing a shirt.

It's good to hear that people are experiencing similar temperatures. I wanted some reassurance more than anything. :)

BC2 really heats up your CPU, i have had Prime/IBT stable setups fail under the stress :(

 It does seem to add 15 celcius or so on my temperatures compared to other games.

I get max 65 after an hour of BC2, althugh my hot 4890 (80+) and a slow fan speed contributes to this. It's actually refreshing to get a game using my CPU properly, even if it is a console port.

ooo im getting maxs 45. during games all 6 cores al loading maxs 30% perfectly optimized for 980x , 4.2 oc with 1.25v. cpu and gpu are on one loop also
