@Thegoon84
What classes are you guys after or in need of?
quite honestly it's not quick. 21GB-23GB ish. The installer now installs everything as far as I am aware. The patches used to take a while to download as the speeds weren't the best. I've not had to reinstall in a while as I've just copied and pasted the files around.
Though you can now play while you download. So you downloaded 'x' MB for critical things and then you download as you go a long. Not sure how well it works mind you though.
Well it works with debit card, I use my natwest card. Though the cheapest way is by buying game cards.
Mumble this morning is actually quite busy! Since 10am tbh.
Got a group trying out 85 herorics right now, on mumble of course. Currently goon is on a recruitment spree. Mumble details will be 'hidden' for these new random members for the moment, for a few reasons.
Ah ok i didnt know that, got all my old disks, going to start back up on my old account, im interested in joining this guild too. I like the mumbles idea as playing alone can be boring sometimes.
will not be starting until the 24th though. thats when my last exam is![]()
As goon says we hit level 5 last night which means free money going into the guild bank. This also means you gain 10% extra mounted speed, all your quests are worth 5% extra xp and your reputation gains with the various factions are increased too. These perks have no requirements other than you join the guild, once you do then you instantly start gaining these benefits
We have guild repairs for members, 15g, 22g, and 30g a day depending on rank in the guild, you start on trial for a week or two and then become member (which allows you the 15g a day) and for those doing heroics with at least one other guild member 150g towards repairs.
I will be keeping an eye on the amount of gold generated into the guild bank and may raise these limits if all goes well.
hey bud I'm running the horde re-roll guild
just a quick one for you. How do you find the gold donations reward for the guild copes with covering repair costs especially for those at 85? We are level 8 guild and are trialing the repair system but I seem to find the income struggles to cover all repairs without extra donations.
If you don't feel ok talking about it on here pm me? It would be good to chat with another guild leader!
Just before we hit level 5 we were using member contributions and had 9k in there. Weve only been getting the free money for about 16 hours so still to early to tell really but I am keeping an eye on it so will let you know in a few days. So far tho it seems pretty stable, we havent dipped under the 9k yet however that may well change when we get a few more members online using it
at the moment the rank system we have is-
guild master - unlimited
officer - 30g a day repair limit
veteran - 22g a day repair limit
member - 15g a day repair limit
trial - 0g a day repair limit
Heroic Run - 150g a day repair limit (people are only bumped to this level for the duration of the dungeon run, and only if there are 2 guild members in the run. then bumped back down when they finish the dungeon)
but like I say this may change depending on how the free money comes in![]()
we were running similar but with 50g across the board @ 2k in GB and whilst it was only over 2-3 days found we were, on average, losing 200g a day. Full 85 repair even in blues is around 80g and in an instance you are only making around 3-5silver per mob.
Found it hard to sustain. If you don't mind will you give me a heads up how's things go for yourself and I will do likewise?
What's your toon name on Shadowsong? Might look you up incase i need to bug you or you want to bug me![]()
I played WoW for a few years since release. I was raiding in a top 50 EU guild in TBC and I got Gladiator in Season 1 arena, so I feel i've experienced pretty much everything the game has to offer.
These are the reasons I quit:
1) Raiding just became another job. I'd get home from work to spend my time raiding instances instead. Got sick of it in the end. I prefer playing games I can put down when I want to now.
2) They split PVE and PVP gear, so you had to spend time collecting both sets. Made getting items from raiding pretty pointless because you couldn't fully utilise them.
3) Raiding lost the epic feel it used to have in the original game. 40 people running Molten Core or Black Wing Lair is probably my most fond memory of the game.
4) PVP was pretty dire, zero game balance at all, and the balance of power just gets thrown about from one patch to the next. Blizzard seemed incapable of balancing classes at all. When I was playing had limited battlegrounds available which just got boring in the end.
5) Arena - what can I say? awful. Probably the thing I hated the most about the game.
6) Became too easy to get things. At some point there was a challenge behind the raids and getting decent kit. But at the end they practically mailed it to you.
7) The number of total morons playing the game got on my nerves.
Anyway, as i've said i've played it to death, so i'm not interested in playing it anymore. Once you see through all the ploys they put into the game to make it last as long as possible it suddenly becomes pointless to play anymore.
On a positive note though, because as I said I played for a long time, I think they did do some things very well.
I genuinely enjoyed levelling up my characters, quests/areas were interesting, and some of the dungeons along the way were fun too. The game is also ver well designed with a very high level of polish.
