Generation facebook

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this.

I've met a few people that have been on Facebook for god knows how long. Each and every single one can't type proper English. (Mine's not perfect) more importantly they seem to lack people skills.

Is it just me or do people that prefer to communicate via txt/email and BookFace lack real social skills?

You can thank social networks/applications and mobile phones for this.!

I love it, Family feuds are funny on facebook.

Dirty laundry being aired in such a situation really does attract some LOLworthy responses and arguments. I hardy ever use FB, but you don't have to look far to see someone you know/used to know making a real mess of something and happily swearing at someone else about it.

I've had some really funny moments, it provides pub talk as well.

I don't get why people get annoyed and people constantly using facebook, use it towards your advantage ;D.

What's up with young people constantly updating their facebook status on their phones and laptops?

"Robert just ordered a cheeseburger and is browsing the newspaper!"

Who the heck cares?

Nowadays people document their lives more then Anne Frank when the war broke out.

Seriously, what is the deal?

Remove them from your list or hide their posts. Why rant on here?
I find you posting here to have a whinge more silly than your friends posts :p

Sadly forums are just as bad a time sink :(

Haha was about to say the same thing :p

But seriously you cannot comment on people using facebook when your sat in here on a forum talking to people you generally don't know (unlike facebook) ABOUT facebook just saying... ;) Imagine what facebook users would say about you. (by you I mean anybody on here criticising)

Ok some users on facebook can update their status maybe more than one would like about things that are pointless but that's them and does not represent the purpose of facebook or the majority of its users. The people you add should be your friends anyway (as in real ones you've met) so I don't see the problem sometimes it nice to know what people have been up to, instead of trying to keep up with all of them. :)

ALSO a misinformed statement is 'hate people who want to constantly tell the world about their life blah blah blah', fact is it's your friends not the world quite a difference ;) that's twitter's job.

The problem with the internet is it has given everyone a voice, when 90% of people have nothing good to say.

It's actually pretty comforting to know I can instantly get hold of/message most of the people who were casually in my life at one point or another who for all intent and purposes I would probably never see again otherwise, or whom I don't see on a regular basis.

What's depressing is that most of these people do genuinelly have better lives than I do though. :(

the majority will be rubbish made up rubbish to make them look like they lead an intresting life....

facebook just seems to be a place for role playing

Completely agree with this, Facebook seems to be the biggest role playing game there is. Introduce twitter, dating profiles, forum profiles, photoshoped images and you have yourself a completely new person that no-on will challenge online,.. because everyone on the internet is honest...right.. :D:p

Fantastic social study though, all those people just acheing to give every detail about themselves away add to that the physiological effects of needing to be constantly validated in everything they do..crazy:confused:

Eh?
Unless you pretend to be someone else and don't add any friends / family, surely you know that it's pointless being something you are not in front of so many people that know you?

The emo/scene kids that always say "aha", never get "your" and "you're" the right way around and are constantly getting married to a different girl/guy every few days are the most annoying of the bunch.

You guys must all have idiots for friends. I really like the invitation for events side of things, can see who is going blah blah.

So annoying that you keep them on your list...

I see a theme here, people who whinge and whinge but don't actually stop things bothering them :p
