Does anyone know if that cooler comes with thermal paste applied?
If not, get some Silver 5.

Ha, I just started a thread about Windows 7, can't find it cheap anywhere! Which is hardly stating the obvious but maaaan, is it annoying. All I can find are upgrade packages. I'm a student but the discount doesn't help me as I can find the full thing (which I assume I need?)

Also, what is the Novatrise code?

if he was saying 570 or 6970 and was playing at standard rez then yes, but he wants cheap as possible and the 6950 with the unlock is fantastic value atm
 
Asus Xonar instead of the Creative Sound Blaster as already mentioned is the only noticable swap other than the cooler.
As for the SSD.. Only people who have never used an SSD would try to convince you against getting one. An SSD is a must for a new build of that value! You will not regret it.
An SSD is simply the best upgrade available and when building from scratch on your budget is a MUST.
