Yes, I'd seen it rarely in wine shops but avoided it because there was so little of it and I didn't want to make the wrong choice. Always stuck to what I knew, which is basically Shiraz and Cabernet. But this is excellent - very flavoursome and full-bodied. Nice to discover.

This one came from Laithwaites. It's actually a Primivito but the consensus is that it's the same grape as Zinfandel [controversial statement, apparently]. If you have a supermarket near you that sells good red wine, you may find some. Otherwise, hope for Oddbins or better.

But in case you're interested, this is the one I'm currently having. Amazing.

You mean you don't like it. Granted my perception is slightly skewed only having had one [and a Primitivo at that] but "bloody awful" is pushing it.
