A Couple of Retards and a Gas Leak...

So basically a few months ago they had a gas leak in the ground floor flat. We called the emergency number. The first thing the engineer shouted to the ******s was not to turn any switches. You guessed it, he went straight for the light switch. Anyway he detected a leak and switched off their supply. He said his job is to only make the premisis "safe", which is fair enough.

So, since they are retarded, I have a feeling they haven't actually repaired the leak, and have just turned the supply back on.

Cue today, we return home and the whole house is stinking of gas. I phone the emergency number while opening all the windows round the house. The operator also advises me to open the windows untill the engineer arrives.

The engineer arrives after 30mins and waves his gas detection wand around. Now the retards downstairs are asleep so all he does is check the 1st floor. Obviously there's nothing there as there has been a massive breeze going through our flat for half an hour. We ask him to wait for us to wake up the retards in the ground floor flat, but he says no. He just waved his wand around their doorframe and gave it the all clear.

So a few hours after the engineer left and we closed all the doors and windows, the house is stinking of gas again ffs. So what the hell should I do now? The emergency thing is a load of crap.

When I had a gas leak, I found the gas emergency line utterly useless. First they seemed bothered by the fact that I was calling from a land line not in my house. Well that's because there's a gas leak in my house. They expected me to stay there and phone them? Then they said someone would be round in some time, maybe half an hour, maybe more. Hello? Gas leak? Stuff that goes boom?

So I called the fire brigade. They were out in under 4 minutes and made it safe in a few more.

Moral of the story is that the gas company is not a real emergency service and the fire brigade is.

There is a gas leak too outside of my street. People stand there and light their cigarettes for the lulz. I can normally smell it every morning.
