Can anyone recommend a good cheap insurance specialist for vehicles such as a honda Type R or S2000, Im thinking of moving back to a S2000 etc

( was quoted £670 by swiftcover for a 06 plate type R with 6 years ncb and being 31 years old ) which seems steep to me.

I haven't used them yet but two people told me last week that they are fantastic and I will certainly give them a go when next I renew.

As per XBL:

I use Sky insurance for my s2000, who seem really good.
Chris Knott are meant to be good too, but they wouldn't insure me first time around as this was my first high powered RWD car; Usually you can bounce the quotes between Sky and Chris Knott to get a better price.

I pay around £800 I think it is; 6 years NCB, DOC, Breakdown and Europe assistance. This is with the s2000 UK owners club discount too:

Also dont forget to mention to them if you have done driving experience days like the VXR Day or some other tuition.. I got a little discount for the VXR day i did last year

Even if you get a cheaper quote, keep going back to Sky and asking them to requote.

I eventually insured my DC5 with them fully comp this year with protected NCB, legal, hire car etc etc with a £250 XS for the pricely sum of £600 for the year. 25 Y/O with 5 years NCB.
