Whats them weird images called?

Im at a loss at what to type into google. Im wanting the name of those weird square images that theres on cans and stuff that you can scan with your phone and it takes you to a website?

Just looking at making one of these for my url but dont know what to search for

Yep they are QR codes if you Google there are various generators online that spit out jpegs when you tell them what you want to encode.

I haven't noticed them on "cans and stuff". I see them on plenty of websites, but never in the wild. Just traditional linear barcodes.
