51 Reg Renault clio roof leaking

Hello

I have a 51 reg Renault clio...And basicaly since all this snow and ice, my roof is leaking...its above the passenger seat, at the top of the sun visor when closed if that makes sense?

Does anyone know if I can do anything to rectify myself or would I need to get someone more technical to look at it?

I've heard about the sun roofs leaking before...and apparently some cars have the rear washer pipe there also..?

These phase Clios needed a dealer fix for sunroof problems, basically the phase 1 fix is to put a bit of rubber pipe round the sunroof clamping device (back of sunroof), means the sunroof clamps tighter, stops it making noise and may stop your leak.

Could also be a leaking rear wash pipe, or bent out of shape sunroof clips, bad rubber seal.

Aye that creaking does get annoying, ive phased it out now though

So I'd have to go to a Renault dealer?

No doubt you can do the phase 1 fix yourself, have a look on google and i'm sure something will pop up.

to find out where the leak is open your sunroof, fill the car with water, close the sunroof ( you may need a mate inside with scuba kit to do this part ) tip the car on it's side and see where it comes out from

Might work in a German car Rotty but this is French, it would be quicker to list the areas that don't leak.

Shall I be looking for anything specific or Clio sunroof fix?

EDIT: My problem also...is that its not coming directly from the sunroof?...ts leaing through the roof material near the sun visor...?

My old 52 clio had all these faults.

The creaking was fixed by removing the covers on the hinges and spraying wd40 in there while also tighenting the screws also.

The leak, theres 2 drain pipes going to the wheel arches. Make sure there clear.

The hinges I'll do on the weekend (although not urgent)

Are the drainage holes accessible without taking the sunroof off?
