Thermaltake Frio - Best performance.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 - Best performance per buck.

Unless you're going to heavily overclock the ACP7 should be fine. Its quiet too.

Can't go wrong with the Frio.

Using stock cooling i5-2500k @ 4ghz temps go up to about 85C which is not good, how much will a Freezer 7 Pro take off those temps?

I reckon it would bring them down to around 70C and maybe slightly less once the thermal paste has cured.

I have to keep the temps below 72C and would prefer even lower then that, would the Frio get them much below 70C?

I'm pretty sure it'll be lower than 70C. I don't know how much by though, I haven't used the new i5s to see how cool they run.

I have gone for the Akasa Venom in the end, it was not on my original list but seems to be a good cooler all round and I saw one review in which it knocked 23C off the Intel cooler.

If I achieve the same results that 85C will become 62C

Hi guys, I've accidentally broken the Intel heatsink retention bracket on my Artic Freezer 7 PRO Rev.2, and ordering a new one from https://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/freezer-7-pro-rev-2.html costs £7.99! Does anyone happen to only be using the AMD clips and wouldn't mind posting me their Intel one if I PayPal them the cost of sending? Alternatively, I don't need my AMD ones if anyone wants them
Thank you!
