ASRock Extreme 6?

Hey,

Is anyopne waiting around for this board to be released? Feature wise it looks awesome and the price is pretty good too!

Just been reading about the ASRock Fatal1ty board (which looks like it will be $250) and the Extreme 6 is almost the same feature wise, maybe apart from the OC'd mouse port.

Any thoughts?

I have been looking into one of these boards as well.
I have just seen they are going for £115.10 inc vat on another site.
They have 5 in stock.
Think ill wait to see prices here, im in no rush.

Whats the reliability and support of Asrock boards like now i know Asus own Asrock? Im wondering as ive had bad experiences with asrock in the past and i know others have.

Thats what i was thinking really, was supprised when i saw £115. i should have looked harder.
Im watching a vid of this board atm, looks like a nice board, tho i've never used asrock before.

ASrock used to be owned by Asus, but now they're on their own. My system before was ASrock, and I overclocked the life out of it, and it was fine

I've read conflicting reports about Asrock, good vs bad.
Imo you buy what you like the look of, and make up your own mind.
I've done a total of 6 complete builds (4 for myself), using different manufacturers, and (touch wood), never had to return a single item.

Asus don't own ASRock anymore. ASRock are part of the Pegatron group which I believe Asus left or visa versa.

If you look at the Fatal1ty and Extreme 6 board specs side by side, they are almost the same, can't see £100ish being worth it for the branded Fatal1ty board.

The only difference i see is the colour and cooling design.

Ah, Fatal1ty has a special mouse port.

Ha ha, not at all.
These boards do offer great usb 3 speeds tho.

And even usb 2 is offered the same speed boost over the other boards.

I had originally ordered this for my new 2500k setup but got impatient so switched to get the asus p8p67 pro. Probably gonna regret it when the asrock is released

There are a few places showing as in stock with these baords but not sure if I trust them really.

Guess I'll just have to be patient and wait for them to arrive a OcUk
