Got to the end of the first level and it wouldn't let me go passed the finish flag (with the boat pointing directly upwards and no way of getting it flat again)

Difficult to the point of stupidity.

2nd level seemed easier until tricky plant thing near the end of level. Decided to stop playing after I flipped on that for fear of punching montior

Completed the first level, got to the flag pole on the second. Giving up now.

How, that's damn tough - especially interesting considering its supposed to be a kids game.

If you want a tough game - this one has to be up there.

Noob... Pretty easy game, just press w and o to get into running stance, then its pq pressed for a second and then wo for a second till the end, then you win...

Really? Have you completed it (screenshot perhaps)? How did you find the hurdle?
