Hi, im looking to buy my first High end desktop computer. i and have a budget of £2500. i have done some research and have come up with the following.

Case - corsair obsidian series 800d full tower gaming case.
Max fans for the case.
NZXT FAN CONTROL SENTRY LX METER

CPU - i7 2600K

Motherboard - Asus P8P67 Deluxe

Memory - 8GB

Video Card - Nvidia GTX 580 1.5GB

PSU - Corsair 850watts CMPSU-850HX

Hard Drive 1 - SSD 128GB sata3

Hard Drive 2 - 2TB Sata3

optical drive 1 - DVDRW-CDRW

optical drive 2 - BluRay RW

now i do want to overclock but the one thing i cant decide on is if i should use water cooling or air?
what would you recommend for this setup?

and is there anything you would change?

Matt

The 800d isnt a good air cooling case compared to rivals and lower priced cases.

So go watercooling, maybe start with a simple H50-1/H70?

Doesn't the BluRay RW burn dvd's and cd's aswell? Might be better just going for the BluRay RW. Although having said that looking at your budget it's not gonna hurt it that much so could be useful for direct disk copying :)

Those new SB chips overclock quite well on air; might want to have a readaround on this first though as people have been experiencing problems.

Everything else looks great though :)

Using the 800D with watercooling and originally air cooled and never had any problems with temps.

The spec looking ok, if you fancy ful watercooling have a read, would you want to watercool the gpu as well.

Hi, I do want to overclock to say 4.5/4.6 would this be safe to do?
I don't have any experience of overclocking so wouldn't want to do it myself unless it was easy to do.

What would be a safe speed to overclock a SB I7 2600k to?
