As title says guys, need a new graphics card - don't game massively on my PC so something around £100 mark would do the job ... what stands out around this price?

Cheers! :)

Thanks guys, went for the ASUS GTX460 - looks great. Not planning on ever going SLI with it so I'm sure 500w will do the business :)

I hope you enjoy becoming more than a casual gamer :). Nice card and I hope you enjoy it. I'd seriously consider overclocking it as it has a decent bit of headroom from what I've seen and the overclock can give it a decent boost.

Yeah I have had a machine that has been chugging along for years and finally upgraded recently (infact the rest of the gear will be sitting at home right now assuming DPD are playing ball!)

Went with a Sandybridge set up geared for music production mainly but the odd game will get thrown at it now and again :)

Sounds like a beast of a system, adding a great card like the GTX 460 is a must with a rig like that ;).

I assume your experience will be like eating Pringles. Once you pop, you won't stop (gaming) :D.

Good luck with your build, your gaming and your music.

Haha yeah it's the following:

Intel Core i5-2500k 3.3Ghz
Asus P8P67 PRO Mobo
Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s
GeIL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel
and the above PSU and Graphics card

The SSD will be absolutely cracking for loading soundbanks and samples from - as well as booting Windows and Cubase ...

And the 8Gb RAM will give me loads of options when mixing and inserting VST plugins without worrying about hardware issues!

Put it all together, overclock it (take the CPU to around 4.2 Ghz I reckon) and it's gonna be fab...

As far as gaming goes, when I was younger I played PC games a lot more - but I don't really have much time for gaming these days ... I play guitar a lot (Classical and Electric) and concentrate on my music ... click the banner in my sig ;)
