Dont know if I posted this one earlier, but

Private though :( no good for my credit card, im just figuring out options at the moment.

milage I could probably get a little lower for that price, I did phone her, try to bring her down on the price but she wouldnt budge from that price, it has had Cambelt and waterpump change @ 70K

Why are you haggling over the phone? Go see the car before thinking about haggling.

Yes I am looking for a GT spec if poss, if not then I guess I will have to tuck my tail between my legs and look at lower spec SE

Never thought about that really, I guess its because its the distance to see the car. Im not going to haggle until I go see one now.

Some people won't budge on price over the phone, you talk money when there is a reason to drop it (pick it apart), otherwise your just some time waster on the phone.

I just look at one of those Golfs and think how boring they look, sure nothing in that class is gonna look like a Ferrari but the whole car screams dull.

Buy something like this and live a little!

Back on topic - can't see much wrong with the ad, how reliable are those engines at 100k+ though?

With 'live a little' I was expecting an Elise or something but no, it appears to be a diesel Fiat

I think I'd rather have the Golf.

What I was thinking :D

04 plate? hardly "Ancient", no older than the golfs iv been looking at

Generationally.

The 04 plate Golfs you are looking at came out in 2004. They are the very first.

Whereas 04 plate Leons are around the last they made before the car was replaced in late 05 IIRC. It is based on a platform originally around in 1996 with the Audi A3.
