Are these fans any good?

im buying my rig tomorrow and was going to get the megahalems with 2 apache's, but ocuk dont have any in stock. i already have 2 of

and wondered if they were any good for cpu cooling?

Scratch that i dont have those fans. Recomend me 2 fan for the cooler thats are as good as the apache

are these the same as apache black? jsut diff color?

Yes. Those were the original design for the apaches. It's probably where the name comes from. If you don't mind the colour then grab them, they're a touch cheaper too.

True about the vipers, theyre noisy at full speed, but youll only ever need that for running stress tests, or if you run something like folding at home, i keep mine running at 800 rpm ono, nice and quiet. Theyll only hit full speed once the cpu temp go's above 65c, no game i play pushes the cpu as high as that.

The apache and the apache blacks are the same.

However the black apaches will be back in stock tomorrow.

Why are the black ones more expensive than the camo ones if they're the same performance?

Do you have to pay extra for fans that don't look ****?
