Got a 0% Credit Card for 13 months, need to buy a car....

What would be the best way to approach this, since the card is from tesco, I dont want to give them the idea I am using this as a loophole to get a cash advance, shall I just say

"I would like to purchase some travellers cheques for my holiday, will these be included as a purchase (0% offer)"?

Yup.

Iv got a £5-6k budget,

I have

£1000 Savings (left over from something else)
VW Golf MK4 to sell, probably around £1.1k
Credit card

The Savings will be used to extend the card limit so I have a £6k budget, then on the sale of my current car, it will be going back on the card

Not seeing where your getting the grand from

I'm not getting it from anywhere, I'm saying you should make sure you have a grand left.

Don't spend every penny to your name + a credit card on a car. You have to have some cash left over!

If you are maxing yourself out then £6k is too much to be spending on a car, spend a lot less.

Oh right yeh I know, my budget is £5k, if I see something that extra special I "May" push the boat out but yeh im not going to spend it all.

There seems to be lack of interest in my area and up to 40-60 miles though :( really need to think about this one

Dont mind about the savings, after the purchase of the car ill be whacking £500 a month back in to savings so no biggy
