How do you guys dispose of small electrical goods?

We tend to hold onto them until either we've got enough for a trip to the tip (advantage of a decent sized garage and large shed), or until we're passing near it as it's about a 200 yard diversion from one of the main routes out of town.

We've made about 3 trips this week, as we're clearing out the garage and needed to dispose of a pair of mobility type scooter that were beyond repair*, and a load of cardboard and wood offcuts.

*It was a shame to dispose of them that way as they would have made good chasis for go carts or similar.

Depends.... work have a firm come to collect the older IT equipment... so I can chuck it in with them.... they refurb some things or strip them down.

Sometimes I take things to the tip where they have WEEE recycling plants (I tend to let things build up a bit and take a box full).

Another thing you can do which reduces the junk in your home is, for example, say you purchase a new micro or tv or something, ask the shop to take back your old one for recycling as part of the deal.

Bin. Speaking of which, if a dog died would you put it in the bin? I think you'd be alright with a Yorshire Terrier but something like a Labrador might be pushing it.

Sell it to the local kebab house, recycling and all that.
