Thanks guys.

I've been practising on the UAV and it's a pretty good laugh. With the optics package fully zoomed in, it can be a bit tricky to guide a rocket onto a moving tank. I love taking out the guys on the anti air guns. I'm definitely gonna go round at low level and blasting folks in the face with the smoke grenade.

yeah my documents > bfbc2 > game settings > change

OriginalVOForEnemyTeam=1

to

OriginalVOForEnemyTeam=0

and exit >save.

Pretty sure u can change the language in the first settings menu (doesnt work once ur in a game) - choose localized and it will be ur default language, or choose original for ur army's home language.

yeah the option in the in game settings has never done anything for me since release.

Just a few tips and techniques I've picked up. Some very obvious, some not so obvious:

1) use jeep/buggy as mobile bomb by planting c4 all over it, jump out at the last second and let it ride itself into enemy area, detonate. same can be done with suicidal chopper missions.

2) if a medic near you dies (on your team or not), equip off him, revive him with his own paddles, drop a health pack and cover him.

3) if you're a recon the very first thing you should be doing when you spawn on the front line is throw a motion sensor out. that way if you die right away at least you've helped your team mates out

4) as above if you are assault (drop an ammo box ASAP)

5) with UAV, fire off a missile and back the hell off to your spawn under cover of trees etc to allow it to recharge. or, fly immediately behind the enemy and use it as a recon/spotting device, spotting as many enemies as you can for your team.

6) don't place mines near your own tanks... or mcoms. or your own buildings for that matter.

7) don't be so obsessed with getting the kill. if you can knock a few health points of some enemies then run for cover and chill for a bit you'll get assist points and stay alive longer. let your teammates finish enemies off while you resupply or get health.

8) think about your spawn position. it may be a better idea to spawn a little further back or off to the side rather than finding the squad member furthest up. he may well be in the middle of a ****storm and you don't want to dump into the middle of one of those...

9) change your class type as and when required. no single game ever calls for ONE class type the entire round. got a tank up front that's taking fire? next time you die switch to engy and go help the driver out by repairing his tank. you can switch back to recon/assault/medic again later.

10) same with medic. towards the end of a rush round, if your team is struggling switch to medic and start reviving as many as you can to give your team the best shot at winning.

11) running out of tickets in a rush round? dont forget you can destroy the mcom by shooting at it and planting C4/mines etc. go engy or recon and try to blow it up if you're running out of time and can't get in close enough to plant a fuse.

12) think before taking out enemy mines. make sure there are no teammates near by before blowing them up.

13) try to get behind the enemy (if the server allows it... which it should, because it's a perfectly valid tactic!). especially goes for UAVs and tanks.

14) engineers - use your tracers! nothing worse than a HIND or tank being allowed to roam the map for 15 mins taking your whole team out. trace that bitch and then take it out! no reason a tank or chopper should survive longer than 30 seconds if you know how to take them out.

15) if the server allows it (again, it should), don't automatically destroy an enemy tank if it's been abandoned by its driver and you've killed him. take the tank and drive it back to your base. or take it out. but don't leave it there for the enemy to use again. so don't repair it until you're back in your base. same goes for choppers. either steal it and take it back to base or plant C4/mines on it and leg it. then when the enemy goes to fly it... do your thing.

16) recons - your Q finger should be bleeding by the end of a round. if you're not spotting everything you possibly can all the time then you ought not to be playing recon. and don't forget, you don't need to physically see an enemy and THEN spot it - when you're creeping around just mash the Q key and occasionally you'll reveal an enemy you didn't even know was there. this is particularly useful when the map is full of smoke and debris.

That's it for now. If I think of any more I'll add to this list.

Cheers,

Cheers,

I used to Ban people for doing this on BF2.

well you shouldn't. why on earth not?

Because theres no skill in it and if you have 3 or 4 people constantly doing it it can be game breaking.

I remember on the Tampa Map you would drive your tank from one end of the Map to the other only to be knocked out by a Jihady Jeep.

I didnt mind at first but then it got out of hand and was Instructed to Ban people for doing it.

But some choppers have that alt-package (don't know its name) which automatically disables the tracer - is it alt-smoke?

How do you kill them bastids eh? Also if they are fully stacked in the chopper with Engies repairing, and if those Engies have ALT vehicle perks, it all adds up into a pretty unkillable death-machine :(

1 trace it they smoke second person traces it >boom.

Yell "rifle, chopper"

watch AT4 >boom

"thank you rifle"

passenger's don't count towards v alt perks (aside from the apache gunner) as far as i know.

I don't see what the issue is with this either, if your in the tank blow it up cant get simpler than that.

Anyways, anybody got any tips for throwing c4 charges?

Watched a few vids on youtube but doesn't seem to help much.

I used to Ban people for doing this on BF2.

It was essential in BF2 to do this on vehicle heavy maps cos it took 4 SRAWS to take out a tank and that's without an ammo crate, hated servers that didnt allow this. Plus it's bloody fun giving those armour whires what for :D

If u mash the Q key five times in quick succession it stops responding for 30 seconds so use it carefully.

Thats what I'm doing wrong vid on youtube said not to run.

They're version said to press throw then jump button an instant later.

Made a slight difference but will try your advice tonight when I get in from work. ;)

I'm guessing tefal releases fire at the top of jump. If you just press fire you need to do it before the jump as the throw action is quite slow.

And yes you can do it running.

Well Ive never done it and I have absolutely no problems taking out Tanks.:D

This rule was primarily enforced on the Tampa Map. Me and my mates wanted to have a few good rounds Tanking which is what that map is for and you would get C4 noobs ruining it.

I wouldnt mind but 9 times out of ten they killed themselves doing it so wheres the skill in that ?

IF they survived they would be warned but if they killed them selves wantonly then it was Instaban.

Also if you need 4 SRAWS to take out a tank your not very good as you can do it with 2 easily.:p

I remember playing BF2 on the old Xbox and doing that C4 jeep trick... Was the fastest way to locate and take out a tank as long as it didn't blow you up 1st. :D

Never heard anyone moan about doing it though.

BTW how do I locate these OCUK Bad Company 2 servers? I tried searching last night but nothing appeared?
